I often wonder if other people have keyrings that look like mine -- with so many reward cards hanging off of them that I truly have more cards than keys. When my grocery store cashier asks for my reward card, it takes me a few minutes just to locate it among the dozens of others. But I refuse to take any of these cards off of the ring, since they all benefit me in some way. However, I get very excited when I find a way to get store rewards without adding a card to my keyring, and I've been pleasantly surprise with the way the Shopkick app allows buyers to do just that.
Several stores that don't have shopper's reward cards (such as Wal-Mart and Target) allow you to earn rewards on the Shopkick app, which then can be redeemed for a variety of items, including gift cards and prizes.
I have had a lot of success (and actually fun) scanning some of the items that offer rewards using this app, and it's pretty easy to do. I've only encountered a few instances when the app said I was scanning the incorrect item (although I was pretty sure I scanned the right one), but otherwise it has been a very easy way to save up for my goal reward -- a gasoline gift card!
