Refurbish a Wooden Chess Set

The other day, I came across a great wooden chess set at one of my favorite local thrift stores. It was only a couple of dollars, so I knew I had to get it. However, it wasn't in the best shape. It had some chips and cracks in the board and the felt on some of the pieces was coming apart, plus it needed a good cleaning.

Since my husband loves to play chess, I decided to refurbish the chess set for his birthday next month. I hope he'll like it!
