Discipline Mistakes When Parenting Your Children

Every parent makes mistakes. There's no doubt about that. Kids don't come with instruction manuals on how to discipline them. Sometimes, it's a trial and error process.

And to make things more complicated, each child requires some individual type treatment when it comes to discipline. Something that works for one kid, may not work for the other.

However, many parents are reluctant to discuss any discipline mistakes they've made. A lot of parents only discipline their kids in private for fear of what other parents might think or say.

It's too bad that we don't live in a world where people talk more openly about their discipline mistakes. This could help parents learn from one another about how to try and do things differently.

I work with a lot of parents who want their kids to behave better. My job is to help them be honest and open with me about what sorts of discipline strategies they are using currently and to help them find more effective discipline strategies.

Check out this list about some of the most common discipline mistakes I see parents making when it comes to raising there children. I see a lot of parents making these mistakes on a regular basis.

It's important to remember that your opportunity to teach your kids enough about how to live on their own is actually a pretty small window. It's important to learn as much as you can about how to raise healthy kids who turn out to become responsible adults.
