It takes a lot of extra effort to stay consistent with discipline. After all, we live in a fairly inconsistent world these days.

Things change constantly and kids grow fast. What worked yesterday might not seem to work today. It will definitely keep you on your toes trying to stay consistent.

The world is a pretty busy place much of the time. Just about the time you think you've got your child on a good schedule, you've got a doctor's appointment smack dab in the middle of nap time.

Dealing with behavior problems can make parents go crazy too. After all, it can sometimes feel like that gopher game at the arcade where you have to try and bop the gopher on the head. Right when you bop him in one spot, he comes up in another. Just about the time you think you've got one behavior under control, a new one crops out. It's just the way this parenting stuff works.
