Only Facebook could make an S-1 filling exciting news. On Monday, Facebook filed a fourth amendment to its S-1 IPO filing and revealed updated details about the company.

Facebook now has 901 million monthly active users, of that, 526 million were listed as daily active users in March 2012.  Facebook also has 500 million mobile users, gets 3.2 billion likes & comments per day, and 300 million photos uploaded per day. We already knew that Facebook was the largest social network in the world. Twitter is number two on the list with just over 500 million users (but only 140 million active users) as of February 2012.

So what does all these numbers mean? It means that Facebook is well on it's way to 1 billion users (probably before the end of the year). And if you aren't on Facebook you are missing out on a tremendous opportunity to:

1. Connect personally with old and new friends.

2. Tap in to a one of the largest marketplaces on the internet (and the planet).
