Girl Scout Cookies and Ice Cream

Girl Scout cookie season is here! I picked up some of my favorites (Thin Mints and Samoas) and was thinking about ways I could use these tasty treats in some of my favorite frozen desserts. My first thought was that crumbled cookies make awesome toppings for sundaes, so if you are putting together an ice cream sundae bar, they are a natural fit.

However, you can also incorporate those cookies right into the ice cream as a mix-in. After all, cookies and cream ice cream is one of the most popular flavors in the world! While I love a good sandwich cookie, Thin Mints are a great alternative. While you can buy your own Thin Mint ice cream at the grocery store this time of year, why not try making your own at home?
