I just can't help myself. I love to make homemade popsicles! Although there are many store brands that I enjoy, it is just so easy to put together your own ice pops and the combinations are nearly infinite. For example, mangoes are one of my favorite fruits and they go perfectly with tangy lime juice. So why not make some mango lime popsicles? How many times have you seen those at the grocery store?

Plus, recipes like that one are a great way to use up fruit that is past its prime. When your mangoes are a little too ripe and start to get mushy, puree them and use them in popsicles! The same goes for overripe bananas. Combine them with a little juice to make orange banana popsicles. It needs no added sugar if you use fresh, ripe ingredients, so it is a dessert that you will actually want to feed your kids. Each ice pop is a full serving of fruit!
