Janet Hunt

Janet Hunt has been working in the insurance industry for over 15 years. She began her career as a customer service representative for a well-known insurance carrier.

After receiving her property and casualty license in 1995, she worked selling personal lines insurance and then moved on to become a sales and marketing representative for a workers compensation carrier, covering a five-state area. Janet now focuses on insurance industry news research and writing. She has written insurance articles for prominent online sources including The Houston Chronicle.

Janet received her Property and Casualty license in 1995 after attending Insurance Specialty Training Institute of Louisiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and keeps on top of the latest insurance industry news, trends and regulations through regular continuing education classes in insurance.

Having worked on both the agency and insurance carrier sides of the industry, I have a unique perspective in understanding the relationship of an insurance company, its agents and policy holders. Consumers are looking for the best insurance policy for their money. My goal is to provide consumers with helpful tools to make the search for the right insurance company and policy less confusing.
