Decorate Your Home with Old Maps

Last week I came across an old atlas I bought when I moved to my current city over five years ago. I can't remember the last time I used a map, but it reminded me how much I love maps.

Instead of tossing out my old maps, I decided to repurpose them into home decor. You can cover a lamp shade, line dresser drawers, decorate storage containers, create magnets or, my favorite, frame the map of the world, a country, a state or a city and mark all the places you've visited or plan to in the future.
