A couple of months ago, I picked up a pair of simple black lamps with white shades at a local discount store. I thought they would look great in my living room, but the lamp shades are a little too white. Instead of returning them, I knew I could refurbish the lamp shades to better match my decor. I'm thinking of either painting them with a damask stencil or covering them in fabric.
Do you have any unmatched or old lamp shades lying around? What do you do with lamp shades when they no longer match a room's decor?
