Refurbishing Cast Iron Items

Growing up, my family always used cast iron skillets. When I moved away from home and started my own life, I started to miss cooking with my favorite cookware. Instead of spending a lot of money on new cast iron skillets, my grandparents gave me a few of their old ones - ones I was already used to cooking with. The only down side was that I definitely needed to refurbish them. After cleaning, seasoning and removing the rust from the skillets, they were all set to use.
