For months, I've been looking for a silver plated tray or plate to place on our dining room table. Luckily, this weekend I finally came across a great bargain at a local thrift store. For only 99 cents, I scored a beautiful silver plated tray, but it definitely needed some work.
Instead of forking over extra money on silver polish and paste, I tried my hand at an old natural remedy to refurbish my silver plated tray. With a little bit of salt and a few scrubs of baking soda, I got my old, dingy silver plated tray back to sparkling condition.
Have you stumbled across any great bargains lately? How do you refurbish and restore silver plated items?
