"Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected." ~ Steve Jobs

With the triathlon season nearing an end, and the weather getting cooler, it's time to start adding some weights and physical training into the mix. Here's a good workout, focusing on upper body, which is important for swimming):

  • Warmup/stretch
  • Max number of pushups, pullups, and dips in a row. Do four sets of this. Rest for 3 minutes in between sets.
  • Wide-grip lat pulldowns: 3 x 15
  • Regular-grip lat pulldowns: 3 x 15
  • Reverse-grip lat pulldowns: 3 x 15
  • 25 ab crunches
  • Cooldown/stretch
