Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So . . . get on your way." ~ Dr. Seuss

With the racing season over for most triathletes, now's a good time to start building a base for next season. It's also a great time to focus on the disciple (swimming, cycling, running) you feel least comfortable with.

When in doubt, aim for 2 swim, 2 bike, and 2 run workouts a week. Sneak in some strength training as well . . . the off-season is a great time to work on your strength.

If you're following the workout's of the day (WOD), here's what's on your plate for today, depending on the distance you're training for:

  • Sprint: 30 minutes cycling
  • Olympic: 30 minutes cycling
  • Half-Ironman: 45 minutes cycling
  • Full Ironman: 60 minutes cycling
