If you're a vegetarian or vegan, or you simply love foods made with fresh, local vegetables, Turkey is the right place for you. Turkish cuisine is famous for it's vegetable dishes braised in their own juices then generously drizzled with high quality olive oil.

These dishes are called "zeytinyaglilar" (zay-TIN'-yah-LUH-lar), and are particularly cherished by Turkish people. They are served at nearly every meal, or eaten on their own for a light lunch or snack.

The best way to sample these authentic, delicious vegetable dishes is to travel through Turkey and experience them first-hand. The next best way is to read my new article called The Best 10 Turkish Vegetable Dishes Made With Olive Oil.

In the article, I've gone ahead and done all the work for you. No need for long, expensive travel. All you have to do is choose a recipe from the list to experience the glory of Turkish vegetarian cooking.

If you like what you taste, try them all and become a Turkish vegetable enthusiast.
