If you'd like to try your hand at making soft, delicious breakfast rolls filled with Feta and seasoned with fresh herbs, here's the perfect recipe for you. In Turkish cuisine, this roll is called 'pogaca' (poe-ah-CHA').

Warm, fresh 'pogaca' are sold in bakeries all over Turkey early in the morning ready for breakfast eaters on the go. These rolls go great with coffee and tea not only at breakfast, but any time of day.

Bite-sized 'pogaca' are great for snacks and even good with drinks. I also like to make 'pogaca' in place of sweet cookies or cakes and give them as gifts. You can also use different seeds on top like black cumin, sesame seeds, poppy seeds and even anise and edible lavendar seeds.

Use this basic recipe for 'pogaca' then expirement with different fillings and garnishes to find which ones work best for you.
