QuestionEdit

QUESTION: hey i have a 07chrysler 300 base and it stumbles and jerks when i accelerate

i was told this is the crank shaft sensor...?? idk please help .. thanks

ANSWER: Hi latuit, Try turning the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see the mileage reading be replaced by a 4-digit number(s) preceded by a P of a B. Let me know what you see. We need those fault code number to learn what may be wrong. Roland

AnswerEdit

Then the next step is to get a fault code readout using a plug-in code reader that goes into a socket under the dash by the steering column. A nationwide autopart store, such as Autozone, will often do that for free or an independent garage will charge around $40. Let me know wha numbers come out that way. Please 'rate' my answer (see below). Thanks, Roland
