I am interested in installing a kiln in my basement and it needs to be larger sized kiln, I have the space. I am wondering if Illinois guidelines will allow me to have new dedicated 3-phase line installed in a residental home.
It depends on availability. The electric company is in business to deliver electricity. Contact your electric utility for guidance and information. There should be a new commercial business office, or something like it.
How large a kiln? Can't you get a large enough 240 volt single phase kiln and increase your single phase service to handle it?
