I need to return the month and year from a time stamp like this, "Aug 15 2011 12:00AM", which is stored as text. I've tried the normal month and year function, the left function, mid function, right function and nothing is working. Any suggestions?

Yes we can get it, but I should not provide the formula without working with your data. Because many times I have dealt with this type of queries and I would like you to send the data pasted in afile like five Example dates. Because even a single space will also create error if I provide the formula without working on your data file. So I have given my email id below, send the dates pasted in a newfile.
