QuestionEdit

I have a 2005 Chrysler Pacific Touring and the abs and brake light is flickering on and off and it makes the radio flicker in and out also the headlights some people say it might be the sensors in the tires and others say the harness wires but how do you know which wires.

AnswerEdit

Hi Andrea, The fact that flickering involves the brake/abs, audio, and headlights leads me to believe that there is an issue with the battery wiring because there is no other common connections between those disparate systems. I would suggest that you take a look at tha battery post/clamp connections and be sure they are clean and tight. Then check the three black wires on the - post clamp to be sure that at their far ends they are tightly connecter (two go to the engine, one goes to a screw in the left front corner of the engine compartment, low on the strustural side rail in the very front left corner). Check that none of those connections is loose of appears to be corroded. As to the + post clamp at the battery and its wires take a look at those but don't touch them with a wrench or metal tool unless you first disconnect the - post clamp from the battery. Then finish your check up and finally reattach the - post clamp. If you have further observations about what is flickering or intermittent do let me know. But based upon the facts that there is no common circuit that involves the headlights, audio, and abs/brake lights other than the battery itself I would believe this is the best thing to do now. Thanks so much for the rating and nomination. Roland Roland
