QuestionEdit

I have 2 hollow doors that were my grandmothers. She "decorated" the middles of them( about 30 years ago) with paper mache and paint. They are very nice but I don't have any openings big enough for them. The decorated part is framed out on the door. Is there a way to cut the decorated part out of the door without splitting it to pieces? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

AnswerEdit

If they are hollow core, then no, there is a very small internal frame around the outside perimeter of the structure, and any reduction or removal of that surrounding frame will render the door very weak and with no structural integrity.....
