Drop down box

Question

I use a template with two drop down boxes with a lot of choices in each box (medical CPT codes and descriptions and ICD-9 codes and descriptions) and they continually get added to. I am wondering if it is possible to set up the drop down box so that I can type the code number I want in the field and have it fill in rather than use the drop down box?
