Drop down list - arrow display

Question

I have developed several data validation "lists." The arrow that allows an end user to manipulate the list is always hidden. Is there a way for that to display all the time? Otherwise my end user has to actually click on the cell and then the arrow displays.

there is no setting that alters that behavior to show the arrow all the time. The arrow only appears when the cell is selected (as you have observed). [there is a setting in the data validation dialog that allows you to configure it so the dropdown never appears - the user has to type there entry and it is validated against the list of acceptable entries - but not option to have it stay visible]
