Electric furnace runs when fireplace is light

Question

Why does my electric furnace run so much when I light my wood burning fireplace, it seems it runs more when the fireplace is light when it is not, Could this be true?

Answer

the fireplace's draft becomes stronger when its going drawing the smoke out the top but it also takes the air from the room with it. it may be causing the temp. in the room to drop slightly causing your heat to click on.. just a shot in the dark being that i cant see it personally.
