I have a question regarding excel. I am working with a large amount of data consolidated into pivot tables. I need to compare dollar amounts based on invoice # using two different pivot tables. The tables are not set up in the same format and not every invoice # is on the other table. Is there a faster way then manually copying the columns I need from one table into a new sheet and doing VLookups to the other table?
You might want to look into the builtin function called GetPivotData - it has lots of parameters, but once you get the hang of it you will probably like it. alternatively you should be able to do what you want with the source data (not once it's in a pivottable.
