AnswerEdit

What you need to do is add an absolute reference. This allows you to move the sorted cells to any location and the reference cells will track to actual data, not location (which may change) within document.

Before sorting put $ before cell info. =A5 will become =$A$5. For a full description of this function and how it works please type the phrase "absolute reference" in the help area of Excel. It will be a help drop down or a blue circle with a question mark depending on version.

Be sure to save a copy before making changes. Change the formula before sorting.

If you require additional instruction, feel free to use the follow up feature.
