QuestionEdit

I create pivot tables with conditional formatting in the pivot table cells using Microsoft2003 on my PC. My PC uses Windows XP as its operating system. I then send the pivot tables to a PC with Microsoft2007 and Windows 7 as its operating system. When the pivot tables are opened on the PC with the Windows 7 and refreshed the conditional formatting disappears. When I opened the pivot table in7 I checked a variety of utilities but could not prevent the disappearance from occurring. Foe example, I verified the preserve formatting was checked but did not see any auto-formatting utility. How can I prevent this disappearance from happening?

AnswerEdit

Pivot tables are so vastly different betweenandas are conditional formatting. I don't think there's a way to keep them in sync aside from having a macro which tests which version ofyou are in and ifor later, the the macro needs to redo the conditional formatting. This can be done on workbook_open event
