Fireplace issue

Question

We live in a condo building and the unit below us is laid out so that it's fireplace is right below ours. Every time the owner has a fire, we smell it very strongly in our unit. What do you think might be causing this and how can we remedy it?

talk to your neighbor and ask him or her to have his chimney checked it wouldnt be a bad idea to have yours checked as well. its probably nothing just a bad draft or maybe a stray window left open but it wouldnt be a bad idea to get some knowledgable eyes on the subject
