Question

My step-father was given a grandfather clock. The pendulum, weights, and chains were in a box when he received it. I just read your answer to someone regarding how to install the pendulum, but could you please help me out with installing and adjusting the chains and weights. Thank you in advence for any help. Here is the info from inside the clock.

Answer

I would suggest you have the chains strung by a local clock repair person. Believe me this can be a most trying and frustrating endeavor. However, if you insist I will try to walk you through the process. As an absolute minimum of the jobs complexity, you will have to remove the movement from the case, as the first order of business. Let me know, WJP
