Question

I think this is the last question. i'm going to use the telescope to watch deep sky objects and planets but from a quite polluted area. what is the best illuminated field to use? thanks alot

Answer

HI Hady

Good to hear from you again. The moon is about 1/2 a degree in size, so for me, that is the minimum illuminated field that really works. For planets, this doesn't really matter, as they are much smaller. But for some of the larger nebulae, it helps to get as large a field as possible. The Andromeda Galaxy is actually much larger than the moon---if you can get it all in the field of view!
