Hi, I have a marco B36cf. It had a gas log set in it, but I removed it and would like to burn wood. The label on the front says wood, wood composite and gas. The house is new, so if the liner is up to code, should it be safe for wood fires? (In other words, does code allow a liner that is safe for gas but not wood?)

see if you can call and ask Macro if you can, I would say you would need to replace the panel with the hole for the gas line, have all gas related items removed and I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep www.csia.org, (there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have, they should be able to help.
