Parking brake shoes: '05 pacifica

QUESTION: Hi Roland, you never steered me wrong wrong before, so here another one for you. Replaced my rear rotors on my 05 Chrysler Pacifica AWD and when i pulled the old disc off, the parking brake shoe pads (top and bottom) were not attached to the shoe plate. So thin strips were just resting on the inside of the rotor drum. I don't use my parking brake if ever, so should i put the loose pads back on and slide the new rotor over them, just take them out, or get new P-brake shoes? Thanks in advance.

QUESTION: I dont know if clips hold on the thin layer of braking material to the body of the shoe. Hi Jason, That indeed sounds like the friction material came loose from the shoe. If you are going to attempt installing new shoes you will want the instructions, so I will copy and send the pages today. Please 'rate' my answer (see below). Thanks, Roland
