I have a 2000 chrysler cirrus left rear lockes up. I replaced cylinder, brakes, and drum. still lockes up ? if i open bleeder valve it frees up any ideas ? should fI replace the hose?
Hi Bill, Yes, if the lumen of the hose is deteriorated it can reduce the back flow that is necessary for the pistons to withdraw when you take your foot off the pedal. So assuming there is no mechanical binding up of the metal parts the usual cause would be eliminated by replacing that hose between the wheel cylinder and the metal brake line proper.
