Repeat entries onworksheets

Question

Once I have formatted a cell how do I repeat the result without having to go through the whole formatting process once again. Is there something other than copy and paste regarding formatting options?

The little icon that looks like a paintbrush is the format painter -- Select the cell with the formatting you want, then click the paintbrush, then drag across the cells you want to take on the same formatting. If you're doing several non-contiguous cells, doble-click the paintbrush which keeps it "alive", and to stop "painting", press the esc key
