QuestionEdit

Hi i read this thread and I am having same problem with my car. The seat belts are locked up and they won't move at all. This is only on both front seats. I was wondering how to tell if it is the seat belt control module. I checked the fuses and they are both good. Also do you know if this would be under warranty?

Thank you Jeff

AnswerEdit

Hi Jeff, I assume that you checked fuse 11 in the power box and 15 in the box behind the left end cap of the dash. The next step is to check for voltage at pins 4 and 5 of the 13-pin plug at the module, after having put the key in the 'accessory' position. If you have voltage then check for voltage at the seatbelt solenoid connectors pin 2 at each seat. Let me know what you find to be the condition at those points and then we can go further to test whether it is the module or the wiring. I an uncertain about a warranty without knowing what is the cause of the problem. Let me know if you need the instrustions as to how to access the module plug. Please 'rate' my answer (see below). Thanks, Roland
