Two column lookup

Question

I want to do a lookup but need to search by two columns. I have two books that suggest using the match feature first to concantenate the values and then use the index formula. Both books provide a aimilar examples but I get a value error return when I attempt the example myself. My formula is =INDEX(C6:C8,MATCH(B1&B2,A6:A6&B6:B6,0)). I am not sure where my error is, I have tried the example several times.

Sorry I am not familiar with your formula, but in looking at it I don't see what is producing the error. I suggfest you reask the question of another allexperts person and I'm sure you can get a good answer. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.
