It is Walmarts policy not to to state anything political, or even the word faith itself. So I was told.
Mr. Expert
For over a month know I was trying to get the music turned down or off that was being played by an employee. The music offended me because off the wordings in the songs.Assistant manager told me he has to leave it on 10.He kept turning it up anyway. Than I was told its their policy not to listen private music by an assistant manager unless a customer does turn it on yet when the customer leaves I was okayed to turn it off. Than I was told that the store manager said to the supporting I had a meeting with It's up to him to to have it either turned off or down. Meanwhile this employee kept turning either the music up-loud / or on/ for over a month. On August 25.2007 I was told the rule is to turn the radio off all the way for the employees in the automotive department. Yet, as morning came up August 26,2007 between 5 and 6 am the music was being turned on by the employee/s. All these meetings and speeches how things ought to be I thing management failed me by allowing this to continue. Besides I'm confused what the policy is know for sure. Because they kept changing this 3 times. Keep in mind that the store music does play as well and all the TV's are on very loud. But this was okayed because off the business.
This man kept turning his music so with all the rules and talks. He seemed to have his own understanding and even got mad at me and cussed and slammed a shopping card. Because I went back their and turned the music off many times explaining to him it is policy and hoping he would respect the issue it is against my faith he had told management that I was harassing him.
Ms. Kuntz,
I'm sorry, but I have no way of knowing what Walmart's company policy is. If you're a member of a union, I'd ask your shop steward. If you're not, perhaps there is a company official designated to respond to employee problems--but I don't know (sorry).
Good luck and regards,
Ed Buckner
