Head to Stone Mountain in Atlanta between June 2 and July 29 for their annual Summer at the Rock events. A new Geyster Towers adventure just opened at the park with multiple levels of suspended rope bridges, tunnels and towering platforms overlooking a geyser.

Visitors new to Atlanta can also hike the granite mountain, go mini golfing, picnic on the great lawn, see a dazzling nightly laser light show set to music. You can also learn more about the mountain carving depicting Confederate President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee and Lt. General Thomas Stonewall Jackson covering over three acres of granite.

For another look at Georgia's Civil War history head to Westview Cemetery where part of the Battle of Ezra was fought. The cemetery is also the resting place of famous Atlantans including Coca-Cola founder Asa G. Candler.
