Celebrate Summer in Virginia Highland

Some 50,000 people attend the annual event each June. The non profit festival helps neighborhood park improvements, public library, landscaping and other needs. Creative Loafing called Summerfest the "Best Neighborhood Festival" in Atlanta. It's is also considered one of the best artists' markets in the Southeast region. Festival visitors enjoy live music, a varied food market with tasty treats and art for sale. This year, Marc Broussard, JK & The Lost Boys and The Fixx are just some of the bands performing at this year's Summerfest. After a day at SummerFest, check out one of Virginia Highland's many shops and boutiques or stop in one of the neighborhood pubs for a cold brew after a day of fun.
