[an error occurred while processing this directive]Save on museum admission this summer at Emory University's Michael C. Carlos Museum. Spend just $5 instead of the usual $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 6 to 17 at the largest museum in the Southeast. The Michael C. Carlos Museum is renown for its expansive collection of artifacts. Mummified people and animals, sculptures, pottery, paintings and work on paper are on display. Check out Queen Henuttaway, one of the museum's newest acquisitions from 1070-1025 BC. This Queen is a brilliant blue color and ready to rule the masses. And keep an eye out for upcoming exhibits starting this Fall including the 'For I am the Black Jaguar': Shamanic Visionary Experience in Ancient American Art.  Promising to explore indigenous culture and religious importance of shamanic visionary trance, the exhibit brings the history of Mesoamerica, Central America, and Andes shamans to Atlanta. Learn more about journeys to cosmic realms and the message shamans return with for their people to shape their futures.
