Whenever I ask my father what he wants for Father's Day, the answer is inevitably the same: "Nothing." So it's up to me to determine exactly what a good gift should be for one of the most important men in my life. My gifts for Father's Day have run the gamut from a dinner out to a Target or Dick's gift card to what he's getting this year -- a flagpole. This one wasn't my idea, he specifically requested it. Still, I felt weird not getting him something more interesting considering how important he is.
